We stayed 5 days, family of 6 persons. We had a great stay. The hosts were really helpful with all kinds of information for visiting Hoedspruit and Kruger. Very nice houses and very clean, with great breakfast. When visiting Kruger very early they made a delicious breakfast to go. The accommodation is in the middle of a wild life property. Giraffe, pumbaa, impala, kudu, zebra and even a leopard (did not had the chance to spot him, only heard him in the night 😀).

Vicky and Henro are very friendly and helpful. They were easy to reach for us and super flexible. We felt comfortable :) The rooms are large and the beds extremely comfortable. The terrace is inviting and we enjoyed using the fire pit. The decor is very tasteful.

We loved staying in Henry's villa! It is so peaceful and quiet, yet there is so much to do. You can go walking, cycling or birding in the reserve, which is beautiful and so special with the giraffe, zebra and bucks running around. It honestly is worth it! It was a bonus to be able to go to the Wild Dog Lodge for a drink and a bot of banter, Vicky and Henry were so welcoming! I can highly recommend this place, we LOVED it!
Thank you so much again Vicky and Henry for letting us stay in your beautiful Shawu place. We hope you had a great few days off yourself. We are back to porridge and are missing the vibrant wildlife of South Africa, the sunshine and the beautiful people already... Be sure to see us again! Dianne and Inge

Outstanding accommodation, on the edge of the green belt in the wildlife estate!
Secluded, quiet, tranquil, well equipped with a daily service if you wanted it( which we didn't) who were efficient and discreet.
Fabulous splash pool to keep you cool.
Visited by impala, duiker, warthogs, squirrels and mongoose as well as numerous bird species.
Within a short distance of amenities and a shortish drive to the Kruger Park.
Vicki and Henro are excellent hosts.
I just hope that on my next visit to the bush, that they have availability for me!!

The location and the hosts! It is so beautiful to wake up and see giraffe, impala, wrattenzwijntjes (pumbaa or vlakvark) the accommodation is great. All the compliments to this wonderful location.

Beautiful villa to stay. Nicely decorated, spacious rooms. Wildlife watching from the pool. It's a shame to only stay one night. In addition, there is a supermarket and restaurants nearby.
